Argumentative Research Essay (20%)

Your research essay must include the following:

A cover page with required information for APA/MLA format

An essay abstract

A properly structured essay following the Toulmin model of argumentation with all required components of 6-8 pages in length

Clear and relevant section headings

A minimum of 10 in-text citations in APA or MLA format

A References or Works Cited page with a minimum of 5 entries (at least 3 of which must be peer-reviewed/scholarly sources)

A glossary of key terms with a minimum of 5 entries

An appendix that provides relevant information for readers to reflect your research

Analytical body paragraphs with the following:

Data/grounds to support claim (including different types of evidence from research)

Qualifiers that explain the limitations of the argument and any conditions for the warrant (rebuttal)

Conclusion

Recaps the claim and relevance of the issue

Suggests recommendations for further research or steps to further address the issue
