I. Introductory paragraph, explaining your topic. (Do not use Introduction as a heading).
II. Heading Flush Left, Bold, naming your independent variable. For example:

Following this heading, you will have a paragraph simply defining this variable. Do not use a dictionary to define your variable. Use the scholarly literature you have collected. This paragraph simply defines the variable. It does not explain the relationship between variables. However, you may end on a sentence such as Sleep impacts several aspects of ones life, including academic performance. This sentence will naturally lead to your next paragraph.
III. Heading Flush Left, Bold, naming your dependent variable. For example:

Define your variable as you did above for the previous variable.
IV. Heading Flush Left, Bold, describing the relationship between variables. For example:
The Relationship between Sleep and Academic Performance
This will be the longest section of your paper. You will have pages dedicated to this section. Use the literature, tell me what previous researchers found with regard to your topic. Do not merely summarize from article to article. Make significant effort to make generalizations and similarities across articles. Cite, cite cite!!
V. Lastly, a concluding paragraph for your lit review. Do not use Conclusion as a heading.
