Begin writing your paragraph here with your thesis statement. The first line of each new paragraph should be indented. Every time you refer to “Young Goodman Brown” as the title of the short story, it should be in quotation marks. When you refer to Young Goodman Brown as the character, his name should be left plain. Capitalize the first letter of each of your sentences and every proper noun. The first time you mention the author’s name, refer to him as Nathaniel Hawthorne. Every other time you mention the author after the first time, refer to him as Hawthorne only. All of your quotes should be “embedded and properly cited” with the last name of the author and the page number (Hawthorne 2). Make sure you replace all the appropriate parts of the heading, header, and title with your personal information. End your paragraph with a concluding sentence that wraps up your point.
